Don't waste your money. The Garmin travel guide is very limited for the money.
There is a "Travel Guide" icon on the touch screen which Garmin tech support tells me that it is nonfunctional because the Garmin Travel Guide is not completely compatible with my Garmin Nuvi even though it is listed as an accessory for my particular Nuvi. Their only response was to walk me through a number of confusing steps to access the information that I want.
My recommendation is to save your hard earned $50 bucks, go to AAA and get a free(if you are members) tour book. Of course these steps are forgotten by the next time I want to use it and it takes me 10 or 15 minutes to figure out again which is very frustrating.
This guide has a lot of useful information but only if you are going to one of the large cities listed in the guide. Yes, I called Garmin Tech Support on two seperate occassions because I was certain the card was corrupted and not working correctly.
It will have a lot more information for a lot more destinations, even smaller towns. However it is very confusing and un-intuitive to access.
No matter which city I enter in the search bar in the "Travel Guide" it takes me to someplace in Maine.
You can get that free on the internet with your browser, and would never use it while driving anyway. Meanwhile I was stranded in Paris with no navigation maps and no place to exchange the product for what I really needed. What jerk designed this. NO MAPS. Supposedly just a list of touristy places to go to and stay.
I took my GPS device for a check and they said it was the card that was not working properly. It was the worst thing I could ever do. I will return the SD Card back to the shipper and ask for my money back asap. I had no other choice than to buy a new GPS device for Europe so I could drive for the rest of my trip. Trusting you vacations on something like this may bring you lots of headaches and pains. I traveled to Spain and Germany and the first thing I noticed upon my arrival was that the SD card was not being read nor working on my Nüvi 260.
And I checked the return policy and it states that it is only returnable within 24 hours, which was hard to do because I was in Europe. Very unhappy. NO NOT BUY DO NOT BUY Does not work. I went to Europe and tried this GPS navigation card, and it recognized that I was in Europe and it had plenty of points of interest to choose from but it showed no roads and had no idea on how to get me where I wanted to go.
